Marna Davis has covered breaking news across the nation for the past 20 years. She’s also done it while handling public relations for some of the biggest names in sports. Marna fills an important role in the firm by increasing PCG’s clients’ media placements through her impressive network of media contacts across the nation.
Prior to joining PCG, Marna reported and anchored the news in Dallas/Fort Worth, where she covered a variety of daily stories from police shootings, tornadoes, City Hall and the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to reporting the news, Marna also updated breaking news on the station’s social media accounts and kept a reporter blog. Before that Marna spent ten years in her hometown, San Diego, anchoring and producing for CBS/Midwest Television. Prior, she was a news anchor and a reporter in Sacramento, where she covered the State Capitol during the Davis and Schwarzenegger Administrations, the Laci Peterson disappearance and Scott Peterson’s murder trial, wildfires, earthquakes, SWAT standoffs, high profile murder trials, and the Sacramento Kings. Marna’s stories have been picked up and featured by CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC Networks.
In addition to her award winning broadcast news background, Marna has served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations early in her career and more recently as Director of Media Strategy and Communications for Pro Star Sports Agency, which represents professional athletes.
In her spare time, Marna volunteers with a wide variety of non-profits including Pro Kids – The First Tee, The Humane Society, The Weingart Center for the Homeless, Loaves & Fishes and Habitat for Humanity. Marna was born in Vietnam and grew up in San Diego and American Samoa. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Journalism.
