Perry Communications Group Earns Crystal

SACRAMENTO – Perry Communications Group (PCG) won a Crystal Award, and took home two Merit Awards at the 20th Annual Crystal Awards, presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Sacramento Chapter. The event was held Thursday, May 17th at Sacramento’s Tsakopolous Library Galleria.

PCG received one Crystal Award for:

  • Special Event Promotion – “Rx Help for Californians, A Partnership for Prescription Assistance – Montel Williams ‘Help Is Here Express’ Press Conference”

    A high profile media and public education event, held in San Diego, letting people know about prescription assistance programs.

PCG was recognized with Merit Awards for the following campaigns:

  • Public Relations Campaign – “Debbie’s Dream”

    A campaign that increased public awareness about the need for minority bone marrow donors which included a press conference with Governor Schwarzenegger as well as a bone marrow drive at the California State Capitol.

  • Public Relations Campaign – “From Words to Deeds: Changing the Paradigm for Criminal Justice and Mental Health”

    A one-day event to provide a forum for mental health and criminal justice leaders to devise new strategies that reduce the criminalization of mentally ill offenders through jail diversion policies, improving outcomes for those with mental illness and reducing the burden on the corrections system.
