SACRAMENTO, Calif. (April 5, 2013)– Perry Communications Group (PCG) earned two CAPPIE Awards in major categories and received Gold for its first Independent Expenditure Campaign at last night’s ceremony. The annual CAPPIE Awards, hosted by the Sacramento Public Relations Association (SPRA), honors the best public relations efforts from the previous year. The awards ceremony was celebrated April 4, 2013 at The Citizen Hotel in California’s capital city.

“The political PR program is our sweet spot and we aim to win Gold in that category every year,” said Kassy Perry, President and CEO of Perry Communications Group. “Pretty soon PCG will have to sponsor that award since we’ve won it so many times over the past 17 years!”

Perry Communications Group received one Gold and one Bronze CAPPIE Award for:

• Overall Public Relations Programs: Political Public Relations Programs – CalRTA Prop 30 Campaign (Gold)
• Overall Public Relations Programs: Short-term Public Relations Campaign – CalRTA Prop 30 Campaign (Bronze)

This year, PCG’s very own Yessenia Anderson served as the SPRA CAPPIE Co-Chair. Anderson’s event planning and moderating skills were demonstrated throughout the flawless ceremony. The firm also continued to support and sponsor the event at the Capitol Level and even treated guests to complimentary caramel popcorn.
