Kimaya Gokhale, Intern

Kimaya brings to the team an extensive background in policy research and a passion for patient advocacy. At Perry Communications Group, Kimaya conducts research for public affairs campaigns, assists in legislative outreach, and provides writing and social media content support for our clients.

Prior to joining the PCG team, Kimaya gained experience in grant writing, data collection, statistical analysis, and policy research at an LA-based nonprofit where she was able to advocate for HIV+ individuals, the homeless, and the LGBTQ population. Prior to that, she worked in clinical medicine as a medical assistant to an OB-GYN, where she first realized her passion for advocating patient rights and increased health access.

Kimaya graduated from Scripps College in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Biology. While at Scripps, she wrote an award-winning thesis on the psychosocial behaviors affecting HPV vaccination rates. Her research was named the best thesis in the Economics department in 2018, and sparked her curiosity in the importance of messaging for producing beneficial public health outcomes.
