Stephanie McGann Jantzen, Vice President

JantzenStephanie was born and raised in Sacramento, into a political family. She was raised in politics with her father, Terry McGann, who was a lobbyist, a congressional candidate, and a professor of health care policy. Stephanie brings twenty years of experience and expertise in the areas of political consulting, crisis communication and public affairs strategies. She has managed statewide California races, Congressional, Senate and Assembly campaigns, as well as local supervisorial campaigns.

Stephanie led Northern California Advance in 1991 for then-Mayor of San Diego Pete Wilson, during his successful race for Governor of California.  She also worked on California Attorney General Dan Lungren’s campaign for Governor of California against Gray Davis.

Stephanie was the Government Affairs/Public Policy liaison for the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, including areas such as air quality and transportation, energy, water and the chamber’s political action committee, which supported pro-business candidates both locally and statewide. She also helped lead the chamber’s Cap-to-Cap trip, organizing a delegation of hundreds of business leaders to travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with federal representatives.

For a span of thirteen years, Stephanie was the Chief of Staff and Political Director for Roger Niello, a private sector businessman who ran for public office first in 1998 in a special election for county supervisor, then moved on to the California State Assembly.

She also served as California consultant to the World Trade Center in Sacramento, meeting with delegations from many countries throughout the world, to offer expertise in California political landscape, campaign strategies, and policy discussions.

Stephanie has also assisted developers, business leaders and non-profits with government procurement projects, private sector development, and contract awards.

Stephanie created a YouTube channel, which is in pre-launch, called PUSHTV. The purpose of PUSH is to entertain, but also engage viewers for the purpose of creating a more informed population of voters through public policy discussions with legislators, business and community leaders. Stephanie serves as producer, moderator and is known to frequently offer her opinion.

Stephanie has staffed political conventions and provided advance services to former presidents and statewide officers. She has also worked with the California Highway Patrol, SWAT and Secret Service during conventions and other events that necessitated attendance by elected officials and their protection.

She was recently the Chief Executive Officer of a northern California technology company in the restaurant space. This company was featured on CNBC’s show, “Billion Dollar Buyer” with Tilman Fertitta, CEO of Landry’s, Inc.

Stephanie has also been featured on MSNBC as a California political commentator, and is launching a podcast in October of 2018.

Stephanie has served on many non-profit boards including foster family agencies, the Desert Symphony in Palm Desert, California and the Folsom Symphony in Folsom, California. She currently serves as a founding board member of Women in California Politics, a new foundation created to preserve the history of the women elected to serve in the state of California.

Stephanie has also been a columnist for two local newspapers in the Sacramento region, writing about community and policy issues.

She lives in El Dorado Hills, California, with her two children, who are deeply involved in theater here in northern California.
