Perry Communications Group Announces New Team Member and Promotions

PCG welcomes Drake Sapigao as Senior Account Manager and applauds the promotions of Megan Yee and Olivia Russell

(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) – Perry Communications Group (PCG), an award-winning public affairs firm based in California, is pleased to introduce Drake Sapigao as the newest member of the team and announce the promotions of Megan Yee to Vice President and Olivia Russell to Assistant Account Executive.

“Now in our 26th year, PCG continues to take on some of the toughest public affairs and strategic communications issues in health, energy, environmental, and business while still retaining a workplace culture of inclusion, professionalism, and collaboration,” said Kassy Perry, President and CEO of PCG. “Looking ahead, it was time to supplement our powerhouse team with another talented individual who is committed to PCG’s culture. Drake Sapigao’s personality is an instant fit, and his political and strategic expertise will make a significant impact in helping PCG not only maintain but expand upon our clients’ successes in California and across the nation.”

With nearly a decade of political and public affairs experience under his belt, Drake has developed and leveraged strategic messaging to succeed on both the policy and regulatory side of multiple complex issues. Last year, while working for the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA), he was recognized as a top 40 under 40 political operative and public affairs professional by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs. He also worked for a political consulting firm, primarily on candidate campaigns, public affairs measures, and ballot initiatives at all levels of government throughout the state. At PCG, Drake will help lead and execute integrated public affairs campaigns for both corporate and nonprofit clients in the health, energy, and homelessness spaces, including the Chronic Care Policy Alliance, GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer, Joshua’s House Volunteer Hospice, and more.

“At PCG, we are committed to creating an environment that not only attracts top talent, but also provides growth opportunities,” said Perry. “Megan and Olivia’s promotions reflect that commitment, and we are thrilled to see them continue to grow and succeed.”

Megan Yee’s promotion to Vice President is a testament to her ability, insight, and innovative work on behalf of PCG’s clients. In her new role, Megan will continue to oversee strategic planning and project implementation for clients including GRAIL, the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation, and the Center for Inherited Blood Disorders, as well as help execute new business developments for the firm. Since joining PCG, Megan has implemented and managed integrated public affairs campaigns that have not only helped raise awareness of Sickle Cell Disease and minority health equity, but also shed a light on new technology within the oncology space that has the opportunity to improve early detection capabilities and reduce inequities within cancer care.

“Megan is a go-getter and serves our clients exceptionally on a day-to-day basis,” says Kassy Perry. “Her dedication to the success of the firm and ability to expand upon its continued, strong relationships is a testament to her energy and talent.”

With her promotion to Assistant Account Executive, Olivia Russell will coordinate special events, develop social media content, and assist in implementing public affairs campaigns for clients including Save Our Capitol!, the California State Outdoor Advertising Association, and Joshua’s House Volunteer Hospice. Prior to joining PCG, Olivia was a large animal surgery technician at the UC Davis Veterinary Hospital and was a member of the NCAA Division 1 Equestrian Team at UC Davis, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus in Communications, International Relations, and Domestic Policy.

“Olivia’s work ethic is bar none and her eagerness to ramp up on client activities has greatly benefitted our team during a busy season,” said Perry. “We are excited to watch her grow in this role at PCG.”

“Perry Communications Group is known for overdelivering,” concluded Perry. “We hold our work to a high standard because we hold ourselves to high standards – we don’t check boxes; we inspire, create, obsess, and win.”
