Perry Communications Group Announces Promotions and Two New Hires

(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) – Perry Communications Group (PCG), an award-winning public affairs firm based in California, is pleased to announce the promotions of Brooke Witzelberger to Senior Account Executive and Kimaya Gokhale to Assistant Account Executive, as well as two new additions to the team: Olivia Russell and Brianna White.

Witzelberger’s primary responsibilities include coordinating advocacy campaigns on behalf of the firm’s clients, partnership development, and project management for health care clients, as well as pro bono work on behalf of the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (Cast). Brooke joined PCG in March  2019 as an Assistant Account Executive and quickly proved her value to the firm, resulting in her previous promotion to Account Executive, and now into her new role as Senior Account Executive. Since joining PCG, she has demonstrated her ability to educate and mobilize several patient advocacy coalitions engaged in complex state and federal policy issues.

“Brooke has proven to be an integral member of the team and her enthusiastic attitude fills the entire office with positivity,” said Kassy Perry, President and CEO. “Her attention to detail and ability to communicate complex policy issues in simple yet compelling language is invaluable to the firm and our clients.”

With her promotion to Assistant Account Executive, Gokhale’s responsibilities include research for public affairs campaigns, legislative outreach, and social media content development for PCG clients.  She joined the team in January 2020 as an intern while applying to medical schools.

“Kimaya’s background in medicine and public health provides her a step up when it comes to the important issues PCG works on every day,” said Perry. “Her strong research and writing skills, and commitment to health care policy make her a valuable asset to the PCG team.”

Russell joins the firm as an Account Coordinator and provides day-to-day support on projects for clients in health care and environmental policy. Prior to joining PCG, Olivia was a large animal surgery technician at the UC Davis Veterinary Hospital. As a graduate of UC Davis, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus in Communications, International Relations and Domestic Policy, and was member of the NCEA Division 1 Equestrian Team.

White joins PCG as an intern, helping support campaigns focused on health equity and access to quality health care. Prior to joining PCG, Brianna earned her degree in Public Health from California State University, San Jose where she received numerous accolades for her leadership, including the Exceptional Women of Color scholarship. She gained experience at the SJSU Department of Public Health and Recreation as a student assistant and secretary to the Public Health Peer Advisor club.

“We are thrilled to bring Olivia and Brianna on board – their desire to work hard and respective knowledge in health are assets to the team,” said Perry. “As the founder of the largest woman-owned, women-run public affairs firm in the region, I am proud of our team who continuously supports one another through these unprecedented times. It is gratifying to work with such skilled, passionate, and dedicated professionals every day.”
