PCG’s Julia Spiess named Business Communicator of the Year

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 16) – Perry Communications Group (PCG) is pleased to announce Vice President Julia Spiess has been recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) as the Sacramento Business Communicator of the Year. Spiess accepted the award on May 12, at the Vizcaya in Sacramento, accompanied by her coworkers and family at IABC’s annual Crystal Awards. Spiess was recognized for her outstanding contribution to Sacramento’s public relation industry in 2010.

“Julia has been a valuable asset to our team since day one,” stated Kassy Perry, CEO of Perry Communications Group. “It has been an honor to watch her grow both personally and professionally in the 10 years she has been working here. Julia’s contributions to the success of the firm have been substantive and innumerable.”

Spiess is a reporter by training and previously served on the staff of a state lawmaker prior to joining Perry Communications Group in 2001. Spiess brings a powerful mix of skills that drive smart strategy and seamless project implementation. Spiess serves as a senior adviser to numerous consumer advocacy groups and is an expert on communications measurement, including providing client counsel on how to quantify the impact and value of issues campaigns.

Perry Communications Group walked away with four other awards.
