Perry Communications Group Announces New Hires

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (February 18, 2011) – Perry Communications Group, Inc. (PCG), an independent, full-service strategic communications firm specializing in public relations and public affairs, is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members, Jason Dumont and Katelyn Downey.

A recent transplant from Washington, DC, Dumont has joined the firm as an account executive. He’s responsible for day-to-day account support on a variety of clients and assists senior staff members with the management of several of the agency’s clients such as Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc., California Cannabis Association, Magnolia Wellness and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). Prior to joining PCG, Dumont was an account executive at East Meridian Strategies where he provided project management support for the agency’s creative team and several public affairs campaigns. He began his career in public relations as an intern at Edelman PR. Dumont graduated from The George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Spanish.

Downey joined PCG as an account coordinator and plays a supporting role in agency accounts, including AltaGas Ltd. and PeaceBuilders. Additionally, Downey is responsible for the social media presence for the California Alliance for Hospitality Jobs and PCG. Downey graduated from California State University, Chico, with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and minor in Business Management.
